2. Where are you corresponding with us from? Wellington, New Zealand
3. List three of the interests from your interest list that you think most define you: Well, since this is a separate weight-loss journal (trying to keep my f-list a bit more manageable), these are from my manic_subbie LJ - art, individuality, singing
4. Tell us a little bit about yourself, please: Mid-20s, suffer from depression (mostly under control). I have two gorgeous cats and a gorgeous and very supportive partner. I love singing, drawing, painting, anime, and until recently only felt comfortable wearing black and red.
5. What are your reasons for joining Freak Fitness? I'm looking for people to share advice, healthy recipes, and support with - and y'all seem nice. =)
6. How did you find Freak Fitness? Interest search for "healthy food"
7. What are your fitness goals? I want to be able to run again, and just go about my life without getting breathless all the time.
8. Have you any specific health concerns? Sacroiliitis - inflammation of joints in my lower back. This hurts my hips horribly, and makes it very hard to walk to the pool, or get motivated to exercise. I've also had a gallstone in the past, and I'm worried about developing diabetes or heart disease.
9. Are there habits or patterns you are trying to overcome or work with? Binging in reaction to stress, especially on sugar - I don't even like sweet things much!
10. What is your favourite form of exercise? Swimming, walking. I also want to try DDR, and rollerblading.
11. What, if anything, keeps you from getting the exercise you want and/or need? Hip problems as above. I've also been finding it difficult to go out in bad weather lately (I don't own a car).
12. What is your biggest food/drink temptation? Alcohol, and anything yummy (which makes it hard to keep that temptation out of the house!). =/
13. Are you on any specific diets, working with any specific organisation, a member of a support group, or any other guided weight control method? No, but I used weight watchers to lose 10kg a few years ago, and I'm thinking about signing up with them again.
14. Are you trying to gain, maintain, or lose? Lose weight, gain fitness, gain health!
15. Which would you most like: support, advice, better understanding, or a place to share your experiences and learnings? All of the above

17. Are you willing to do a monthly check-in on your goals? Definitely
18. Briefly describe your current fitness situation: I get out of breath walking up the street to my house - this is actually an improvement, when I moved here 8 months ago I had to have a break halfway up. I've been trying to swim 30 mins 3 times per week, but the stuff in #11 above has been making it difficult. I think it may be better to try to swim every day, so that when I really can't go, I won't feel so bad if I've done 5 days already! Swimming for 30 minutes also comes with an additional 20 minute walk each way. I'm also trying to find some kind of exercise I can (and will *facepalm*) do at home when the weather is horrible or I don't have time.
